Ellen Cooke, MD, DABR

Board Certified Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Cooke graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame, where she received a Bachelors of Science degree with double major in Preprofessional Studies and Theology, and Texas A&M College of Medicine, where she received her medical degree. She was drawn to the field of oncology after her mom was diagnosed with cancer while she was a medical student. She then went on to complete an internship at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. She completed her radiation oncology residency at the University of Utah Medical Center/Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City and was named Chief Resident in 2012.

Outside of the office, Dr. Cooke’s hobbies include entertaining three young children, snowboarding, world travel, camping, hiking, watching college football, enjoying live music, and photography.

Grant Rine, PhD, MD, DABR

Board Certified Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Rine, born and raised in Wichita, completed a B.S. and an M.S. in Physics at Wichita State University. He then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Radiation Biophysics at the University of Kansas where he focused his research on Thermal Dosimetry. He earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas and completed his radiation oncology residency at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Rine moved back to Wichita upon completion of residency and has served the community as a radiation oncologist for over 20 years.

Outside of the office, Dr. Rine can usually be found playing piano, spending time with his wife, restoring antiques or collecting unusual scientific devices.

Joshua Weir, DO, MBA, MS, DABR

Board Certified Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Joshua Weir joins the Wichita community as a native of Kansas where he grew up in Olathe. Dr. Weir played college soccer while attending Truman State University graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Upon graduation he went on to earn a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, ultimately deciding on pursuing a career in medicine. He then graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2014 with scholastic and service honor and distinctions earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree while simultaneously earning a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with focus in healthcare leadership from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Weir completed his internship in Internal Medicine at University of Missouri-Kansas City in Kansas City, MO before completing his medical residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Oklahoma where he was named Chief Resident in 2019.

Dr. Weir returns to Kansas after two years practicing with the Department of Radiation Oncology at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. During his time there, he served in many notable roles in addition to practicing medicine, including being named the Assistant Residency Program Director, serving as principal investigator on several clinical trials, and sitting on multiple institutional and cancer center committees and leadership teams. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Weir enjoys doing anything that includes spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys watching sports, live music, golfing, snowboarding and travel.
